Week One Injuries

After only the first week in the NFL season the player injuries are already starting to pile up. No team suffered worse then the St. Lewis Rams. The Rams lost their power house running back Steven Jackson to a strained quad and is expected to miss next game against the Giants. The Rams also lost wide receiver Danny Amendola to a dislocated elbow, he is expected to miss a few weeks. The Kanas City Chiefs lost their young star safety Eric Berry to a torn ACL, he is out for the season. Eric Berry was the Chiefs leading defensive player in the 2010 season. The Carolina Panthers were thrilled to see their rookie quarterback do so  well in his NFL debut but lost linebacker Jon Beason during the process. Jon Beason will miss the rest of the 2011 season with a torn Achilles tendon. The San Diego Chargers will lose their kicker for the rest of the 2011 NFL season. Reports show kicker Nate Kaeding tore his ACL during sundays game against the Vikings. The Indianapolis Colts lost starting quarterback Peyton Manning due to several neck surgeries during the off season. The Colts are already struggling without Manning by getting crushed in their divisional show down against the Houston Texans. The Jacksonville Jaguars lost their star tight end Marcedes Lewis to a strained calf. Reports say he will not miss long term.
